News from the Southern Police Institute Regarding COVID-19

Due to the unprecedented and global public health emergency of the COVID-19 Pandemic, The University of Louisville and Southern Police Institute has had to suspend normal operations.

What this means for you:

• Classes between March 16th–May 1st — POSTPONED

  If you have signed up for or plan to attend a professional development class through SPI, that is taking place anywhere in the country between now and May 1st, 2020 it has been postponed. If you are a registered student in one of these classes, you will be receiving an email with specific instructions and a new scheduled date. You will be automatically registered in the new course date, unless you inform us differently. Please be aware that any requested reimbursements/refunds of tuition may be delayed, because of limited operations at the University of Louisville during this crisis.

• Southern Police Institute Limited Operations

  During this time of social distancing, SPI has been directed by the University of Louisville to work remotely. The physical office on the campus of the University will be closed as of March 17th, 2020 and tentatively scheduled to reopen on April 6th. During this time all the dedicated staff of SPI will be working remotely from home and can be contacted the same way as always. If you have a question or concern, please contact us, as we endeavor to serve all of you the best we can during this crisis.

Please give us the opportunity to solve any issues that may arise and as always, we appreciate you all as our loyal network of SPI alumni and supporters.
