Bowling Green Police Officer Creed
I am a Bowling Green Police Officer.
I am a leader! I will hold myself and my peers to our highest of standards.
I will honor and respect those who came before me, who sacrificed for our profession.
I will render aid to those in distress and will strive to have professional interactions with all citizens.
I will continually strive to exceed every expectation, while remaining diligent in my training and ethos.
I am a crime fighter, remaining steadfast in our common goal of enforcing the laws of the Constitution and the Commonwealth.
I am a Bowling Green Police Officer.
Officer Jon-Spencer Smith said in his graduation address the class, “We were told we would have to earn everything we were given and it was not a tag line. Through hard work, we earned everything we were given.”
This was not an ordinary first class for an academy. Like all academies in the state, Bowling Green had to deal with COVID-19 restrictions and quarantines but prevailed.
The Kentucky Law Enforcement Council would like to congratulate the Bowling Green Law Enforcement Academy on its first graduation of police recruits and wish a long, safe and successful career of service to the 11 recruits now serving the great city of Bowling Green.
