Job Description: The Middletown Police Department is seeking lateral and retired officer applicants for the position of part-time Police Officer. Applicants must currently hold a valid Peace Officer Professional Standards (POPS) certificate administered by the Kentucky Law Enforcement Council. The Middletown Police Department is a Kentucky Association of Chiefs of Police Accredited Agency. Applications may be picked up beginning April 12, 2024, at Middletown City Hall, 11803 Old Shelbyville Road, Middletown KY, Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Applications are also available to download and print from the MPD website: www.cityofmiddletownky.org. • This is a part-time Officer position (10 hr. shift A/B schedule)
• This position is primarily for a late-watch shift, with the ability to flex to other shifts as needed.
• Starting salary is $35.50 hour (includes $.50/hr. shift differential)
• Eligible candidate must be able to work a minimum of 20 hours a week
• Take Home Car Program
