Basic Class 521 Graduates

On December 2, Gov. Andy Beshear and the Kentucky Department of Criminal Justice Training (DOCJT) announced that 28 law enforcement officers from agencies across the state graduated the basic training academy.


PSDA Class 139 Graduates

On December 10, Gov. Andy Beshear and the Kentucky Department of Criminal Justice Training (DOCJT) announced that 17 dispatchers from across the state graduated the Public Safety Dispatch Academy, and are now ready to begin answering the call to provide assistance and assurance to both citizens and law enforcement officers of the commonwealth.


Basic Class 522 Graduates

On December 16, Gov. Andy Beshear and the Kentucky Department of Criminal Justice Training (DOCJT) announced that 36 law enforcement officers from agencies across the state graduated the basic training academy.


APS Class 85 Graduates

On December 17, Gov. Andy Beshear and the Kentucky Department of Criminal Justice Training (DOCJT) announced that 22 law enforcement officers from agencies across the commonwealth have graduated the Academy of Police Supervision (APS). APS, also called the sergeant’s academy, is a three-week, 122-hour training program targeted for newly promoted sergeants or officers who are on their agency’s promotion list to become sergeants.


December CDP Certificates Awarded

The Kentucky Law Enforcement Council's Career Development Program is a voluntary program that rewards specialty certificates based on an individual's education, training, and experience as a peace officer or telecommunicator. There are 17 professional certificates. The variety of certificates allows a person to individualize his or her course of study, just as someone would if pursuing a specific degree in college.
