Bowling Green Law Enforcement Academy News

Kentucky’s newest law enforcement training academy graduated its second recruit class on September 10, 2021. Nine recruits graduated from the Bowling Green Law Enforcement Academy’s 23 week basic training course. Chief Michael Delaney along with Chief Deputy Penny Bowles and Major Matt Edwards congratulated the class on their achievement. Retired Major Richards Hanzes, United States Army gave the commencement speech. The recruits were presented their diplomas by Chief Michael Delaney, Retired Chief Doug Hawkins and Retired Chief Gary Raymer. The recruits were given their oath of office and sworn in by Mayor Todd Alcott. The Kentucky Law Enforcement Council would like to congratulate the Bowling Green Law Enforcement Academy and the nine new officers on their achievement for Class 2.
