Job Description: The Police Officer is responsible for carrying out the functions of the EKU Police Department. These functions include protection of life and property, preservation of the peace and good order of the University community, and the furnishing of various services to enhance and support the operations of the University.
Shift Information:
Starting Salary: 8-Step Officer PayScale: Recruit ($47,948), Officer ($52,340), Senior Officer ($54,886), Master Police Officer (MPO) I ($55,904) – MPO V ($59,978). Retired Officers start at MPO V ($59,978). Specialty Position Pay (Detective, SRO, & K9-Officer) An additional $2,000 per year is added to the appropriate pay grade above.
