Captain Kyle Nall is the Commander of the Kentucky State Police Academy. His career with the Kentucky State Police began in 2002 as a Telecommunicator. In 2005, he graduated from the Kentucky State Police Academy and was assigned to Post 1 (Mayfield). Nall has served the Commonwealth in many roles, including the following: Telecommunicator, Patrol Trooper, Detective, Squad Sergeant, Detective Sergeant, Investigative Lieutenant, Assistant Post Commander, Academy Commander, and Captain. He is also a Criminal Justice instructor and serves on the Criminal Justice Advisory Board for Bluegrass Community and Technical College. Nall holds an Associate of Arts Degree from Western Kentucky Community and Technical College and a Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice from Tiffin University.
Nall is also graduate of the KSP Sergeant’s Leadership Academy, KSP Legacy Leadership Summit, Administrative Officer’s Course from the University of Louisville’s Southern Police Institute (AOC 137 – Valedictorian and Vice President), CrossFit Level 1 Trainer’s Course, and is a certified Law Enforcement Instructor through the Kentucky Law Enforcement Council. Nall previously served on the Board of Directors for the Kentucky State Police Professional Association and is currently the Vice President of Chapter 1 of the Association. Nall is also a member of the Fraternal Order of Police (FOP), State Police and Provincial Academy Directors Association (SPPADS), and serves as a Deacon at the Wingo Old Cumberland Presbyterian Church. Nall serves the Council on the Curriculum Committee.
